The Arkansas Arkansas Levy of School Taxes, Proposed Amendment 40, also known as Proposed Amendment 40, was on the November 2, 1948 ballot in Arkansas as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure removed the $18 million school tax limit.[1]
