The Arkansas Salary Raise for Constitutional Officers Proposed Amendment, also known as Proposed Amendment 56, was on the ballot in Arkansas on November 2, 1976, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. The question on the ballot:

A proposed Constitutional Amendment to limit and establish the salaries of the Constitutional Officers and members of the General Assembly; and to establish the method of fixing the maximum salaries of Municipal Officers.[2][3]
