The Arkansas Uniform Property Tax for Schools Proposed Amendment, also known as Proposed Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Arkansas on November 5, 1996, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The measure established a uniform property tax millage rate for the maintenance and operation of schools.[1][2]
