Arlene Agresti was an at-large representative on the Clifton Board of Education in New Jersey. She was first elected in 2011. She won re-election in the general election on November 4, 2014. She did not file for another term in 2017.

Agresti was raised in Clifton. In 2010, she retired after 35 years of teaching middle and high school mathematics in Clifton Public Schools.[1]

Three seats on the Clifton school board were up for general election on November 4, 2014. At-large incumbents Lucy Danny, Arlene Agresti, and Judith A. Bassford ran for re-election. They faced challengers Andrew A. White and Jeffrey R. Camp in the election.[2]

Campaign themes

2014

Agresti pointed to the school renovations and the removal of non-resident students from Clifton schools as some of her biggest achievements on the board. She stated that at least 300 non-resident students were removed from the schools due to a strict proof of residency requirement and a tip line.[4]
