An Arlington Heights Park District Bond Measurewas on the November 6, 2012 ballot in the Arlington Heights park district area in Cook County, where it was defeated.

This was the second attempt by the district to pass a bond measure. The previous vote in March 2012 failed. This bond called for $48 million, scaled back from the March request. Funds would still go towards making renovations at the parks in the district area. Supporters stated that the scaled back version would still allow for developments but opponents stated that the timing was wrong and noted that asking for more money right after a failed attempt was not a wise move.[1]

“ Shall the Arlington Heights Park District, Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois, improve through renovation and new construction the parks and community centers at Camelot, Frontier, Heritage and Recreation Parks and Olympic Indoor Swim Center; acquire park equipment; improve, maintain and protect neighborhood parks and facilities; and issue its bonds to the amount not to exceed $39,000,000 for the purpose of paying the costs thereof?[3] ”
