This measure sought to replace the current school levy with one set at a rate of $3.57 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further four years in order to continue to pay for general fund needs, school programs and operational costs in the district.[2]

The question on the ballot:
| The Board of Directors of Arlington School District No. 16 adopted Resolution No. 11-11, concerning a proposition to support school programs and operation expenses. This proposition would authorize the District to levy the following excess taxes, in place of an expiring levy, on all taxable property within the District, for support of the District’s General Fund school programs and operation expenses (such as instructional materials, facility maintenance, technology and activities): Collection Year: 2013-2016; Approximate Levy Rate/$1,000 Assessed Value: $3.57 $3.52 $3.47; Levy Amount: $10,719,20, $11,469,60, $12,110,90, $12,753,00. All as provided in Resolution No. 11-11. Should this proposition be approved?[3] |
