Armand Girard was a 2016 candidate running for the office of Mayor of Baltimore. He lost the Republican primary. Previously, Girard was also a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 3rd Congressional District of Maryland. He was defeated by Eric Delano Knowles in the Republican primary on April 3, 2012.

Career

Girard is a retired math teacher from Baltimore Public Schools.[1]

Girard ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Maryland's 3rd District. He sought the nomination on the Republican ticket, but he was defeated by Eric Delano Knowles in the primary on April 3, 2012.[3]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run was January 11, 2012.[4]
