Arnie Hederman is a partner with Clearwater Group LLC, a government affairs and political consulting firm in Jackson, Miss. He is a former chairman of the Republican Party of Mississippi.
Career
Arnie Hederman began his political career as deputy to former Chairman of the Republican Party of Mississippi Evelyn McPhail from 1987 to 1992. Hederman continued to serve as McPhail's deputy in 1993 when she transitioned to director of political education at the Republican National Committee (RNC). While with McPhail at the RNC, Hederman served as executive director of the Political Education and Training Division.[1][2]
Following his tenure at the RNC, Hederman served as political director of the Republican Party of Mississippi. He worked for a number of local, state and national-level campaigns including a position as Mississippi director during former Republican U.S. Senator Bob Dole's 1996 presidential bid. He founded his own government and public affairs consulting firm, Hederman Group, and developed campaign finance technology used by many Republican candidates in Mississippi.[2]
In 2003, Hederman served as deputy campaign manager during former Republican Governor of Mississippi Haley Barbour's successful gubernatorial bid. Following the Barbour campaign, Hederman served as executive director of the Republican Party of Mississippi. He became the Party's treasurer in 2008.[2][3]
From 2011 to 2012, Hederman served as chairman of the Republican Party of Mississippi.[4]
As of December 2015, Hederman was a partner with Clearwater Group LLC, a government affairs and political consulting firm in Jackson, Miss. He also served as Mississippi state chairman for Republican U.S. Senator Marco Rubio's 2016 presidential campaign.[5]
