Arthur Lewis Brown
Arthur Lewis Brown (1854-1928) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island. He joined the court in 1896 after an appointment from Grover Cleveland. Prior to appointment, he was a private practice attorney in Rhode Island. He retired on June 30, 1927.[1] Brown died on June 10, 1928.

Judicial nominations and appointments
District of Rhode Island
Brown received a recess appointment from President Grover Cleveland on October 15, 1896 and was nominated on December 8th. He was confirmed by the Senate on December 15, 1896, and received commission that same day. He retired on June 30, 1927. Brown was succeeded in this position by Ira Lloyd Letts.[1]
