Arthur Lukowski
Arthur Lukowski was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 37 of the Illinois House of Representatives.
Biography
Lukowski is a small business owner and has been the President and CEO of Oil Express since 2009.[1] He is a member of the National Rifle Association.[2]
Additionally, Lukowski has served as president of the Chicago Family Business Council and as a commissioner for the Greater Southwest Developmental Corporation in Chicago.[2]

2014
In a biographical submission to Ballotpedia, Lukowski detailed the following campaign themes:[2]
- Pro-Life
- Pro-Constitution
- Jobs: "We need to encourage more manufacturing in Illinois, not by giving a few companies 'sweetheart deals,' but by supporting the entire business community by locking down taxes so business owners can count on their government and plan their budgets"
- Taxes: "I will vote against any tax increase, and I will support any bill that lowers taxes."
- Education: "Education is at the core of all we are and aspire to be. We will best protect our District and our children by supporting teachers who truly care about our children’s future."
Elections
2014
Elections for the Illinois House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on March 18, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was December 2, 2013. Nichole Serbin defeated August (O'Neill) Deuser in the Democratic primary, while Margo McDermed defeated Gayla Smith and Arthur Lukowski in the Republican primary. McDermed then defeated Serbin in the general election.[3][4][5][6]
