Arthur Turner II
Arthur Turner II (Democratic Party) was a member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing District 9. Turner assumed office in 2011. Turner left office on July 3, 2020.
Turner (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Illinois House of Representatives to represent District 9. Turner won in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Turner resigned from the Illinois House of Representatives on July 3, 2020.[1]
Biography
Turner earned his B.A. from Morehouse College in 2005 and his J.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 2010.[2] His professional experience includes working as a tax credit analyst and underwriter for the Illinois Housing Development Authority.[3]

2014
Elections for the Illinois House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on March 18, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was December 2, 2013. Incumbent Arthur Turner II was set to face Tonya H. Hunter in the Democratic primary, but Hunter withdrew from the race before the primary, leaving Turner unopposed. Myles Lloyd Tobin was set to face Carlos Alvarez in the Republican primary, but Alvarez was removed from the ballot on January 10, 2014, leaving Tobin unopposed. Tobin was removed from the ballot prior to the general election, allowing Turner to run unopposed.[9][10][11]

Turner won election in the 2012 election for Illinois House of Representatives District 9. Turner was unopposed in the March 20 Democratic primary and was unopposed in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[12][13][14]
