Arthur Williams was a 2016 Republican candidate for District 6 of the North Carolina House of Representatives. Williams withdrew before the primary.[1] He ran unsuccessfully for the same position in 2012.

He was a Democratic member of the North Carolina House of Representatives. He represented District 6 from 2003-2011.

Williams was enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1963. He is retired.

Elections for the North Carolina House of Representatives took place in 2016. The primary election was held on March 15, 2016, and the general election was held on November 8, 2016.[2] The candidate filing deadline was December 21, 2015.[3] Incumbent Paul Tine (Unaffiliated) did not seek re-election.

Beverly Boswell defeated Warren Judge in the North Carolina House of Representatives District 6 general election.[4][5]

Williams ran in the 2012 election for North Carolina House of Representatives District 6. He advanced to the July 17 Republican Primary runoff where he was defeated by Mattie Lawson.[10][11][12]
