Arvada City Charter Amendments, 5 (November 2011)
Five Arvada City Charter Amendment measures were on the November 1, 2011 ballot in the city of Arvada which is in Jefferson and Adams Counties.
Four of the five measures were approved in both counties.
The first measure sought to update and modernize designated sections of the city charter.

The second measure sought to delete the qualification for City Council that a candidate cannot be from another municipality.

The third measure sought to make it that emergency ordinances can only be adopted with super majority votes.

The fourth measure sought to make it that the City Manager must be a resident for at least 6 months prior to starting the job.

The fifth measure sought to delete designated language in Chapter VI section 6.5 so as to coincide with the National Civic League Model Charter.[1]
