Aryanna Strader was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House representing the 16th Congressional District of Pennsylvania. She was defeated by incumbent Joseph R. Pitts.[1]

Strader ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Pennsylvania's 16th District. She was uncontested in the Democratic primary on April 24, 2012, and faced incumbent Rep. Joseph R. Pitts (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2]
The Washington Post listed the House of Representatives elections in Pennsylvania in 2012 as one of the 10 states that could determine whether Democrats would retake the House or Republicans would hold their majority in 2013.[3] Ohio tied with Pennsylvania for 9th on the list.[3]
