Asa Wentworth Tenney (1833-1897) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. She joined the court in 1897 after an appointment from William McKinley. At the time of appointment, he was a private practice attorney in New York City. He served until his death on December 10, 1897.[1]

Judicial nominations and appointments

Eastern District of New York

Tenney was nominated by President William McKinley on July 2, 1897 to a seat vacated by Charles Linnaeus Benedict. He was confirmed by the Senate on July 8, 1897, and received commission that same day. He served until his death on December 10, 1897.[1] Tenney was succeeded in this position by Edward Beers Thomas.
