|- Housing costs are too high in Florida and they keep going up. We have to stop this relentless increase in homeowners and car insurance. Even grocery shopping is becoming stressful because of rising prices. Trump/DeSantis Agenda is wrong for Florida imposing tariffs and dehumanizing migrants. The end result is that life is becoming more difficult for Florida residents.
I would start a Hurricane Insurance Fund for the whole state. That way your own insurance company will only provide fire and theft insurance. If this is done, your insurance premiums will drop like a rock.
For grocery prices, we have to not do Federal Govt's work in detaining migrants and scaring the rest from going to work. Let us find a more humane solution. - Healthcare has become a major issues now with the $1 Trillion cuts to Medicaid in the OBBB Law. Florida has not expanded Medicaid but it is time that we do expand Medicaid and help more than 1 Million people who are going to lose healthcare due to Medicaid cuts next year. The 4.2 Million Floridians use Medicaid as a lifeline. We cannot let them sink. Alongside these cuts are going to force rural hospitals in Florida to close down. State of Florida Budget receives 40% of revenue from the Federal Govt. These kinds of drastic cuts are going to throw the State Budget into imbalance in 2027. We have to proactively make provisions for the incoming psunami in 2026. We have take care of our Seniors and others on Medicaid.
- Public Schools are hurting because Florida keeps on transferring more and more money to Charter Schools. We have to stop that hollowing of Public Education in Florida where 90% of students attend Public Schools. Teachers pay is so low that we rank 50th out of 50 States. The result is that there is shortage of 7500 teachers in Florida. I know that in Sumter County, they are hiring "Teachers in Training" to be classroom teachers. In other words, your children are being taught by anyone they can find on the street who can pretend to be a "teacher". We have to increase funding for Public Schools, not decrease it as is being done even this year. We have to reverse course for the good of our children.
I have been a Volunteer Teacher in an after school program in Pittsburgh run by Felician Sisters for about 10 years. I am currently a Volunteer Teacher in Wildwood Middle High School for the last 6 years. I am passionate about education, specially of school age children. I would like to use my knowledge and experience to good use in the Legislature to improve Public Education in Florida.
I am not looking for anything other than to serve the residents of Florida to the best of my ability.
There is shortage of affordable housing in Florida. The Sadowski Fund for Affordable Housing has been raided by the Legislature for 20 years. We have to reverse that flow and build up the Fund to provide more affordable housing to Floridians.
Our homeowners insurance costs keep on climbing. The laws passed in 2022 leave much to be desired. Almost half the Claims since those laws were passed are being denied by Insurance companies. As a Senator, I would feel it my utmost responsibility to see to it that legitimate insurance claims are paid promptly and I will promote Legislation to that effect.
I will also promote Legislation to increase funding for Public Schools. That is an area that has been neglected by the Legislature for years. It is time that we quit sacrificing the education of our children in favor of the ultra wealthy owners of Charter Schools.
I will work hard to restore that necessary Partnership with the Governor.
Every Legislation is an intricate process and you have to work with your fellow Legislators and it is very fruitful to build relationships as you go along.

|- Abortion: I want the Florida Law banning abortion after 6 weeks rescinded. A Yes Vote on Amendment 4 will also help to reach that goal. The current laws in Florida is treating women as less than human. It is dehumanizing women.
- Homeowners Insurance Laws passed in 2022 gave away $3 Billion of our tax dollars for Reinsurance. That was WELFARE PAYMENTS to GIANT Insurance companies. That has to change so that insurance premiums for homeowners do not keep spiking or insurance companies leaving Florida. We need insurance laws in favor of the homeowners not insurance companies. And we need to enforce/strengthen Building Codes so that we have more homes resilient to storms and hurricanes.
- We need to reinstate the Department advising Counties on "where not to build". This crucial department was disbanded under Rick Scott Administration in 2010. This is absolutely necessary with the increase in frequency and intensity of storms.
