What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
When I am elected, my top three priorities will be to make certain that everyone knows that they have equal access to Justice; to increase the efficiency and reduce the backlog of the Court; and, to abide by the Law in making my rulings.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Civil justice is an area of public policy of which I am passionate. Justice should be blind when an individual comes before a Court. To that end, I have pledged not to accept campaign contributions from any attorneys because no one should have to worry when they have their day in court that campaign contributions might tilt the scales of justice.
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
Honestly, integrity, wisdom and compassion are some of the most important characteristics of any elected official.
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
The core responsibilities for the Judge of County Court at Law #3 are to be knowledgeable about the law; to work diligently and efficiently; and, most importantly, to listen to the people who come before the bench always remembering that the Judge is truly a public servant meant to help those who come before her.
