I aspire to leave a legacy that demonstrates to my children and others the importance of standing up for one's beliefs and pursuing dreams relentlessly. Despite any obstacles faced in the past, I want to show that it's possible to make a meaningful difference in the world. My very first job was working at Culver's, and I held that position for over a year. It was a great experience where I learned valuable skills in customer service, teamwork, and responsibility.
"Girl, Wash Your Face" by Rachel Hollis. It's a book that really speaks to me with its motivational and empowering message. Rachel Hollis shares personal stories and practical advice that help challenge self-doubt and encourage embracing one's true potential. It's all about overcoming obstacles, setting ambitious goals, and taking control of your life with confidence.
One of the struggles in my life has been growing up with my mom as a single parent for most of my childhood. We faced financial challenges, and resources were limited during those years. Additionally, I didn't graduate college, which has been a personal hurdle. These experiences have shaped my determination and resilience, motivating me to overcome obstacles and pursue my goals with a strong sense of purpose and commitment.
Over the next decade, Illinois faces several major challenges that need urgent attention. One of the biggest issues is over-taxation, which has driven many people and businesses out of the state. High taxes have created a financial burden for families and entrepreneurs, discouraging investment and growth within Illinois.
Individuals without prior political experience can bring a unique and valuable viewpoint, rooted in real-world experiences and a direct connection to their communities. They often approach problems with innovative solutions and a sense of urgency that can be refreshing and impactful.
Okay first of I heard this joke when I was a sophomore in high school - second the delivery is way better in person. A mom cow is talking to her three baby cows. The first baby cow asks, "Momma, why is my name Daisy?" The mom cow replies, "Because when you were born, a daisy fell on your head."

The second baby cow asks, "Momma, why is my name Rose?" The mom cow answers, "Because when you were born, a rose petal landed on your head."

Then the third baby cow says, "Momma, BLAAAAARRRGH!"

The mom cow says, "Shut up, Brick."
Financial transparency and government accountability are the bedrocks of a healthy and functioning democracy. I firmly believe that for any government to effectively serve its people, it must operate with complete openness and integrity. Financial transparency is crucial because it allows citizens to see exactly how their tax dollars are being spent. Government budgets should be accessible and understandable, with detailed breakdowns of expenditures and revenues. Regular, independent audits are essential to ensure that funds are used appropriately and efficiently, and these audit reports should be made public to foster trust and accountability. Additionally, implementing online transparency portals where citizens can track government spending in real-time empowers them to hold their government accountable.
