Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am the daughter of two Prince George's County District 6 graduates, an auntie-mom of current PGCPS students, a homeowner, and a concerned community member. I have a vested interested in the success of our schools. With over a decade of experience in education, inclusive of classroom experience, instructional leadership, Congressional education portfolio management, and current district level managerial experience, I'm an equity-minded leader committed to ensuring my time, talent, and expertise is dedicated to ensuring every student receives a quality education and every educator is supported with the necessary conditions to make it possible.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

• I am the only District 6 BOE candidate with K-12 classroom experience, including recent experience during the pandemic.
• I am trained in board leadership and nationally recognized for documented successes in student achievement.
• I lead with listening and action.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am passionate about ensuring that students are provided safe, joyous, and empowering 21st century learning communities led by highly qualified educators who feel supported leading the charge. As a result, my platform consists of the following issues: school safety, school infrastructure, community schools, educator effectiveness and workforce development.
