As a lifelong Carmel Greyhound, I chose this community as the home to raise my own family. I have professional experience in the legal field, commercial real estate and the non-profit sector. Additionally, over the course of my 15-year career in real estate, I have spent time listening to our neighbors and learning about their mutual love for this community as well as their worries for the future. As a mother and small-business owner, I share many of those concerns. That is why I am running for the Indiana House of Representatives for District 39 - encompassing the majority of Carmel.

Carmel needs a leader who will advance the values and interests of this welcoming and dynamic community; and a legislator who will bring a fresh voice to issues we all care about: increasing resources for education, protecting the environment and improving Indiana's aging infrastructure. I am a leader who will fight to represent my constituents first and work across the aisle to strengthen our communities to achieve these mutual goals.

I am committed to fighting for an Indiana that makes life better for all Hoosiers and will work hard to deliver solutions that move District 39 forward.
  • I am a graduate of Purdue University, B.A. in Political Science and I am a former Indiana House Democratic Intern for Representative Greg Porter, Representative Vanessa Summers and Representative John Aguilera in 2000
  • District 39 is nationally recognized as one of America's best places to live. Indiana is no longer a flyover state and our representatives must move on from that mentality, and start promoting the Hoosier State as the welcoming place that it is.
  • I will work tirelessly to understand your challenges and represent your interests in the Statehouse. As a trusted neighbor, business owner, and mother, I will fight for legislative solutions while maintaining financial accountability and will work across the aisle to develop the best legislative solutions for our community.
Education: Our children and teachers deserve better. Education is the pathway to a safer, healthier and more prosperous Indiana. We need to ensure all children are off to the best possible start with universal pre-K. We must demand fairness from lawmakers for school funding, so we can attract and retain top educators and compensate them as professionals - no teacher should have to work a second job to make ends meet. Investing in pre-K through higher education needs to be a critical priority for the Statehouse - Indiana's ability to compete in the 21st century economy depends on it.

Clean Energy: Air pollution in Indiana harms Hoosier health. Across the Midwest, clean energy jobs are booming and creating high-wage stable employment but Indiana is trailing behind. We need to prioritize clean energy as a key strategy in Indiana.

Infrastructure: Indiana, the "Crossroads of America" and plays a crucial role in the transportation of people, goods and services across our country and yet our State's infrastructure continues to crumble. We must reinvest in our roads, highways and bridges; and ensure that every Hoosier has safe, affordable drinking water. Indiana needs a comprehensive strategy leading us into the future and returning resources back to local communities so local governments can target the critical road repairs impacting your everyday commute. Failing to develop a long-term plan will only escalate the costs and further jeopardize our health, safety and economy.
