Biography
Ashley Villaverde Halvorson earned both her B.A. and J.D. from Arizona State University.[1] She has served as the president of the Los Abogados Hispanic Bar Association and has been involved with Latina Mentoring Project for over ten years. She is a member of the State Bar of Arizona Committee on Minorities and Women in the Law as well as the Hispanic National Bar Association. Halvorson was named one of the Top Lawyers Under 40 by the Hispanic National Bar Association in 2017. In addition, she was named a Southwest Super Lawyers Rising Star. Halvorson received the State Bar of Arizona’s Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Award in 2020.[1] Prior to her appointment to the court, her career experience included the following:
