An Atherton Community School District Levy Renewal proposal was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Genesee County, which is in Michigan where it was approved.

This proposal authorized the Atherton Community School District to renew a property tax of 17.9172 mills ($17.9172 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for 8 years in order to provide operation and maintenance costs. The estimated first year revenue from this tax was $2,740,558.[1]
