Expand all | Collapse all

Audrey Henson is a conservative Republican who grew up in St. Petersburg, FL and to this day calls the Sunshine City her home. Audrey’s experience growing up in a single-parent, low-income household in St. Pete helped shape the person she has become, and who she aims to assist every day. Driven by her deep faith in Christ, Audrey has made it her mission to dedicate her life to service. She is a champion of the working class and a fearless defender of our God given freedoms. She is running for Congress to protect Pinellas County from the threat of socialism embraced by DC progressive liberals.

After college, she founded the incredibly successful nonprofit. While CEO of College to Congress, she led efforts to secure $48 million in congressional appropriations for the House Paid Internship Program. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Audrey successfully launched C2C-University (C2C-U), a free tech platform that prepares students for public service internships. Through C2C-U, College to Congress has provided internship opportunities and jobs to over 1,500 students from across the country, including veterans.

Audrey also started By The Bay Bobcats, a woman-owned and family-operated construction business focused on excavation, demolition and hardscaping in Pinellas. Audrey’s goal for By The Bay Bobcats is to provide homeowners the opportunity to affordably improve the value of their homes in a manner that preserves Pinellas County’s beautiful waterways.
  • As a native Floridian, whose family are 9th generation Floridians, Audrey grew up in St. Petersburg, FL., Audrey understands the unique challenges that face our community. She is committed to protecting our beautiful, world-famous Gulf Beaches from offshore drilling and ensuring beach renourishment continues. An avid fisherwoman, Audrey is committed to fighting the red tide outbreaks that have taken over our beaches.
  • Our National Security relies on border security. Audrey believes protecting our communities and families begins at the border and other points of entry in our nation. She is supportive of continuing to build President Trump’s border wall so we can secure our borders and the Port of Tampa, where illegal immigrants and drugs are smuggled in daily. Audrey will fight against Biden’s open-border policy which is hurting innocent individuals, including small children, who are used by gangs and cartels to exploit loopholes in our legal system to illegally sneak into our country. Audrey is grateful to our border patrol and law enforcement officers who work tirelessly every day to protect Americans.
  • As a life-long Christian, Audrey believes that life begins at conception and should be protected and respected at every stage. She believes in providing life-honoring options other than abortions to women who have unplanned pregnancies, as well as providing mental health resources to offer support along the way.
Pro-Israel:

Audrey fully stands with Israel. She was very proud and supportive of President Trump’s decision to move the capital to Jerusalem, along with our embassy, and believes it was the right choice and long overdue. Audrey was extremely proud when President Trump recognized Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

Welfare Reform:
Having grown up on many government welfare programs like food stamps and Medicaid, Audrey understands first hand that these big government programs often do more harm than good. She believes the end goal of many of the programs is simply to provide “free money” but not truly help American families break the cycle of poverty. Instead of growing the government, Audrey is focused on creating opportunities for American families through good paying jobs. Audrey is passionately committed to reforming the welfare state and in doing so, save the American tax-payer trillions in spending.

Taxes:
As a two-time small business owner, Audrey knows that increasing taxes and regulation often hurt small business and regular Americans the most. That is why Audrey is committed to fighting for lower taxes. Audrey was the first candidate in the 2022 FL-13 race to sign the Americans For Tax Reform pledge.

Social Security

Audrey knows the hardworking people of Pinellas rely on Social Security. She will work to ensure that everyone in Pinellas County receives the Social Security benefits they have paid into.
