Aurora City Start of Term Question (November 2012)
An Aurora City Start of Term Question was on the November 6, 2012 ballot in the city of Aurora which is in Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas Counties, where it was approved.
This measure sought to change when the city Mayor and council members would start their new terms of office. This would be for new members election, their swear in date would be pushed back to their first regular meeting of the council which is in December. The purpose of moving the start date of new terms back is to allow for additional time for old members to wrap up old business and new members to get acquainted with the new positions.[1][2]
