I have lived in both Seabrook and Hampton Falls my entire life and a graduate of both local schools in Lincoln Akerman and Winnacunnet. I worked at a pillar of the Seabrook identity at Eastman's Fishing Fleet (Shout-out to Capt. Les and Phil Eastman) for five+ years. I now work for another small business at Seabrook Truck Center that has been in Seabrook for 25+ years as well. I have even gone back to Lincoln Akerman School and coached their school baseball team for the last two years in the spring.

I am running for one of District Twenty's State Representative seats because I feel that our legislature has let us down. We need representatives that will fight for our constitutional freedoms that are increasingly infringed upon day by day. Our First and Second Amendment rights need to be upheld, and that starts by getting government back inside what the Constitution dictates. I want to bring energy and a passion for constitutional freedoms and values and lead the way to reaching the next generation of legislatures to show them how vital the Consitution is and, more importantly, how its principles still work. More than ever, we cannot be complacent.
I look up to my father because he is an example of someone who never had anything handed to him and made something out of himself. He did not graduate college and was working at Delta Airlines until he knew he couldn't do that for the rest of his life and started taking chances and betting on himself. He got into truck sales and would end up opening his own used truck dealership over 25 years ago. He is not one to get complacent, and his work ethic is nothing short of sensational. Every successful person will undoubtedly have its subtractors, but most of the people who have come across him will vouch for the type of man he is.
I think that experience is always an undeniable benefit. However, especially in the realm of politics, longevity breeds complacency and a lack of urgency. Due to the fact that State Representative is virtually working for free many representatives are older, and so there is not a voice for the younger generations. James Madison famously warned about the dangers of factions, and the age disparity between some of the voting population is tough to ignore.
The Opioid Crisis in New Hampshire has affected us all in some way and is nothing short of an epidemic. New Hampshire's opioid epidemic is troublesome, and the state even leads the country in fentanyl deaths per capita. The opioid dilemma is a crisis that calls for everyone to be at the table to reach its solution. Families, users, our community leaders, healthcare personnel, etc. need to come together. This is a partisan issue, and we cannot afford to wait.
We are a fractured country and, therefore, a fractured state. We need to start being able to work with the people across the aisle again. Voting on party lines has become the standard because bills are created that have no resemblance of compromise. This direction, we are sailing full steam ahead towards needs to stop, or we will continue to break away from our neighbors. I'm not saying we should give in to the opposing political party, but we should get back to treating ourselves with a shared sense of decency because, at the end of the day, we all want what is best for New Hampshire and the country.
