Austin Griffin was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 8 of the Indiana State Senate. Griffin was defeated by Eric Harris in the Republican primary on May 8, 2012.[1]

Griffin was born in 1970, and raised in La Porte County.[2]

Griffin has been involved in several start-up companies, including nursing in the homes of homebound senior citizens and veterans, occupational therapy, physical therapy and medical staffing.[2] Griffin and his wife, Kasey, also have a local business, Bluegrass Farm, Inc., in La Porte, Indiana that runs farming/agriculture crops and horse breeding/boarding.[2]

Griffin was running in the 2012 election for Indiana State Senate District 8. Griffin was defeated by Eric Harris in the Republican primary on May 8, 2012.[1] Incumbent Jim Arnold (D) ran against challenger Maxine Spenner in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[3]
