Austin M. Allran
Austin M. Allran (b. December 13, 1951) is a former Republican member of the North Carolina State Senate, representing District 42 from 1986 to January 1, 2015.
Allran served in the House from 1981 to 1985.
Allran did not run for re-election to the Senate in 2014.
Biography
Allran earned his B.A. from Duke University in 1974. He went on to receive his J.D. from the Southern Methodist University Law School in 1978. Allran also holds an M.A. from the North Carolina State University. He has been a practicing attorney since 1979.

Allran ran unopposed in the Republican primary on May 8 and defeated Joseph Inglefield (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
2010
Allran won re-election to the North Carolina State Senate District 42 in the November 2 general election. He ran unopposed.[3] Allran also was unopposed in the primary election on May 4, 2010.[4]

On November 4, 2008, Allran won re-election to the 42nd District in the North Carolina State Senate. Allran had no challenger.[5]
