Campaign themes

2014

Scieszinski's website has emphasized the following campaign themes:[3]

  • Raising the minimum wage. Workers are still struggling to recover from the recession. We must help them. The first step is raising the minimum wage.
  • Local control over Lands. If a community wants to save their environment from mining exploitation and destruction, they ought to be able to. We must strengthen local control and allow them to choose what happens to their backyards.
  • Making our Democracy a Democracy Again. Voting is EVERY citizen’s right. Republicans have tried to choose who can vote. That’s plain wrong. We need to expand voting and make it easier.
  • Investing in our Youth. We must support Wisconsin students that wish to seek higher education by providing them the means to make it possible.
  • Collective Bargaining. Those that have dedicated their lives to instilling knowledge in our state’s children deserve the same rights as private sector workers.[4]
