Three Austintown Township Fire Tax Levy Replacement questions were on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Mahoning County, which is in Ohio, where they were approved.
These questions authorized the township of Austintown to impose property taxe replacements in order to fund fire protection services. The first question authorized 1 mills ($1 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for five years (approximate revenue of $602,798). The second question authorized 1.2 mills ($1.2 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for a continuing period (estimated revenue of $904,326).[1]
