Avery Anderson was born overseas to deployed Air Force parents. He would spend his childhood moving around the United States before ending up in Atlanta, Georgia for college. While in Atlanta, he appeared in several movies and TV shows including; The Walking Dead, Dumb and Dumber 2, and Anchorman 2. In 2014, he would transfer to Colorado to finish his education. In 2017, Avery graduated from the University of Colorado School of Engineering with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has worked in the energy field where he helped advance domestic wind energy implementation. He has had hands-on experience in helping develop future, domestically produced sustainable energy. Since 2018 he has been an engineer at Raytheon working to advance America’s defense through cutting edge technology at industry leading pace. He currently serves in two lead engineer roles, ensuring that our service men and women are kept safe by delivering the best equipment in the world.
  • Climate Change. Arizona has the potential to be the leader in solar energy production. It is crucial that we lead the inevitable domestic transition from fossil fuels to sustainable energy sources. By diversifying energy supply and reducing dependence on imported fuels, we will create well-paying local jobs in technology, manufacturing, and energy while also reducing our air pollution and carbon footprint.
  • Education. There is a clear and strong correlation between the educational attainment of a state’s workforce and median wages in the state. Increasing educational attainment can be achieved by a variety of policies and programs, including those that increase access to postsecondary education by increasing financial aid, increasing the quality of K-12 education, and offering preschool programs that lead to long-term improvements in educational outcomes throughout the students' lifetime.
  • Maintaining access to affordable healthcare options. The United States remains the only country in the developed world without a system of universal healthcare. America is the richest country in the world should be able give every citizen some form of basic coverage.
Climate Change. It is completely unacceptable that there is still a debate over climate change in politics. A 2019 review of scientific papers found the consensus on the cause of climate change to be at 100%, and a 2021 study concluded that over 99% of scientific papers agree on the human cause of climate change. We need to work on solutions and funding to solve the problem through human ingenuity to save our planet before we pass the point of no return, where we can no longer fix the problem on a human timescale. I want to highlight that progress on transitioning away from fossil fuels is being held up by politicians.

As someone who has worked in the renewable energy industry, I've seen first hand the reluctance of corporations to transition to more sustainable energy sources. The fact of the matter is, we are still subsidizing fossil fuels to make them cheaper for consumers. We need to put an end to this and move these subsidies to renewable energies to make these more affordable and incentivize consumers to make that transition.

I can not emphasize enough how important this is.
