Frix's campaign website highlighted the following issues:

  • By reducing burdensome regulations, more families can start and grow small businesses here in the District 13 - creating more jobs for our community.
  • We must shift education spending from wasteful government bureaucracy in Oklahoma City to improving teacher pay to attract and retain the best. Put the power of our local school districts back in the hands of parents, not a national mandate from the Federal Government.
  • Avery is grounded in his faith, and will fight to protect traditional marriage and pro-life ideals.
  • As a member of the NRA, Avery will continue to fight to protect our second amendment right.
  • Through innovative approaches Avery will work to strengthen and rebuild our roads and bridges.[5]

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Oklahoma

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
