This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $32 million in order to build a new middle school in the district. This question had been asked in November, 2011 but was defeated by residents. Residents had noted that there had been no public discussion before the vote, not allowing public input into the proposal. Residents stated as well that the price still seemed too high when renovations could be done for a lower cost to the district.[2]
