I am a 20-year Quail Hill resident, proven community leader, advocate for government transparency, working mom and wife. I have a long history of winning policies that improve health, safety and quality of life in Irvine.

I direct a nonprofit that provides accountability on decision-making by local governments. In 2023, the OC Register named me one of the most influential people in OC. I chair the City of Irvine Sustainability Commission.

When three kids in my Quail Hill neighborhood were diagnosed with brain tumors, I partnered with UCI scientists and parents to win an organic landscaping policy for the City of Irvine which was later recognized for excellence by the CA Environmental Protection Agency. I wrote a how-to guide and helped people nationwide work toward the same change for their communities.

Last year I helped win a bus to transport southeast Irvine students to University High School.

Before I became a community leader, I had a successful career in the business world, working for some of the best-known companies in OC.

As a survivor of the Los Angeles foster care system, I have a special interest in providing safe environments for children. I worked hard and was fortunate to finish college and qualify for affordable housing when I moved to Irvine for a job 25 years ago.

My husband is an attorney and small business owner, and our two school-aged kids attend Irvine public schools.
  • Public Safety Support our police, fire and first responders to keep Irvine safe. Improve traffic conditions to reduce response times. Improve street infrastructure to make biking and walking safe city-wide.
  • Traffic and Sustainability Enhance public transit to get more cars off the road, improving traffic and reducing pollution. Provide safe routes to school for all grade levels. Ensure new neighborhoods include schools, parks, retail and other key amenities.
  • Cost of Housing Provide more starter homes for purchase rather than apartments to enable families to climb the economic ladder and create the American dream. Require new development to include homes affordable to teachers, firefighters and police officers, so they can continue to live in the city they serve.
Human health and safety. My vision for Irvine is a safe, sustainable city where kids can walk or bike to school, and every neighborhood enjoys clean air, water, parks, lots of trees and essential amenities within easy reach. We'll prioritize access to open spaces and ensure neighborhoods offer daily necessities nearby, reducing traffic and fostering community.
I admire Congresswoman Katie Porter because she's focused on fighting for families and speaking truth to power. I will follow her example to ensure that Irvine’s city government reflects the needs of the people, not special interests, and stand up for taxpayers and working families.
Transparency and community focus are critical for government accountability and preventing corruption. Elected officials must ensure that community members are included in decision-making. I will advocate to ensure the public is notified of potential decisions that impact them and that public meetings are held at times and locations that are convenient for working families. I will work to ensure that budgets and staff reports are complete and clearly explain how public funds are allocated and spent.

Focusing Resources on Community Needs - I will ensure our hard-earned tax dollars are spent on programs that benefit the community, not special interests or backroom deals.

Prioritizing public safety and health - People have a right to be healthy and safe where they live, work and play. I will support community infrastructure that protects our health, safety and the environment.

Resourcefulness - Orange County is last in state funding – it gets less funding than any of California’s 58 counties because of a long history of elected leaders who do not think it matters if we get anything in return for our tax dollars. I will make it a priority to work with our state and federal elected officials to bring our fair share back to Irvine.

Showing up - This seems obvious, but when an elected official fail to attend public meetings, they cannot represent their community or its needs. I will consistently show up to advocate for my community.
I'm a good listener, I'm empathetic, and I get things done. I have a proven track record of delivering results that make our community safer and improved our quality of life in Irvine, including our city-wide Non Toxic Landscaping Policy and school bus pilot program for University High School.
To protect resident safety and health, safeguard community resources and protect taxpayers. I take a broad view of public safety, which includes personal safety, traffic safety, climate resilience, and the ability of residents of all ages to feel safe at school, work, rest and spend leisure time. I will also direct our hard earned tax dollars to programs that reduce cost of living and improve our community such as school transportation, public transit and intersection improvements that reduce traffic.
A world that is safer and more abundant for today’s children and generations to come. I want to do everything I can to protect people from suffering and harm – starting right here in Irvine.
I grew up poor in a chaotic home, and when I was 10 years old, my siblings and I were placed in foster care. Throughout those difficult years, my north star was to create a safe, healthy life and family. That’s what brought me to Irvine, and I want everyone in Irvine to be able to create a safe, healthy and joyful life of abundance.
