I am a small town guy trying to make a big time difference for my fellow Mississippians.
  • At this point, I want to prevent the government from imposing unconstitutional laws and pursuing policies which are subversive to the American people.
  • I will be accessible and responsive to ALL the constituents of MS02.
  • I will support policies that promote and protect American business and increase jobs in America. MADE IN USA
National security, prison reform, educational improvement, economic development, and infrastructure restoration.
My grandad is/was hero. George Washington, because he absolutely loved this Republic and endeavored with great fervor to secure the blessings of God for future generations.
Faith in God, intelligence, honesty, sense of duty and honor, humility.
Intelligent, personable, humble, temperance, prudence, and fortitude.
Communication with ALL the citizens you represent and advocate for policies that promote individual rights and provide opportunities for your district to compete economically, educationally and in quality of life.
A legacy of Love for the place I call home.
Working on a farm. It is a lifetime appointment.
The Holy Bible. It is a source of eternal hope and love.
I've got my mojo workin' Muddy Waters
My dad not being there as a child and then dying when I was 11 years old.
The Constitution grants the U.S. House of Representatives a unique set of powers in the federal government, embodying the framers' intent to make it uniquely responsive to the will of the people. ... The House is the only branch of government that has been directly elected by American voters since its formation in 1789.
The current divisiveness and perpetual political infighting currently being displayed in congress. Permeated with the continued erosion of national values.
The voters should be the term limiters.
Talking to people who have been through the floods affecting the Yazoo Backwater and lower Mississippi Delta are heart wrenching as well as the issues that are occurring in the Mississippi Department of Corrections are in the front of my mind. Counties that do not have a grocery store or hospital. Bridges and roads that are crumbling through out this district have affected everyone that lives and works here.

Addressing the public school issues in the Delta. Improving and increasing capacity of infrastructure throughout the Delta, Utilize every resource available to improve healthcare access and health care outcomes in the Mississippi Delta.
Governmental corruption seems to be around every corner. As well as, the idea that certain families are the governmental elite and should always be put in office. I want to see an end to the back room deals, bribes, embezzlement, misappropriation, fraud, and theft occurring on a weekly if not daily basis from "We the people"
I have great people skills in addition to Faith, Temperance, Prudence, and Fortitude. Additionally, I have had a very wide ranging and varied life experience that has put me in contact with ALL types of people; and it has, and will continue to serve me well.
The core responsibility of a state senator is to represent the citizens of the district that elected them when considering legislation for the state. I define success in the legislature as, proposing and passing legislation that improves the conditions of the citizens in the district and state.
I just want to leave the Mississippi Delta and my daughter a little better off when I'm gone.
The Challenger Explosion. I was 10 years old watching with my class in school.
I avoid awkward situations.
Easter. Because without Jesus rising and being resurrected the world would be in trouble.
The Holy Bible, because it has the correct answers on life.
I think that is situational. There are qualified people that have no government experience and there are people that have plenty of government experience that are most certainly not qualified.
Where they work together in advancing the good of Mississippi and all her citizens over their personal agendas.
Yes, we can accomplish just about anything when we get in lock step on a common goal.
Ronald Reagan, he was the first President I remember personally. He just had charisma and was able to unite the country in a way I have not really seen since.
I have heard many memorable stories from different people in my district. The ones that stick out are related to the depressed conditions in the Mississippi Delta and the flooding that has been going on since February. In the south Delta, it is such a tragedy and something needs to be done immediately, the floods have basically wiped out little towns and the people that lived in them. Issues with a lot of bridges being closed and it making it hard for people to get to the doctor or store. Also, I have to tell you that stories of hope and pride in the Delta have been heard too! I can sense the resilience of the people who refuse to leave here because this is where they grew up and the place they love to call home.
