- I am a local businessman, former mayor, and engaged citizen who believes good government starts with listening. I have spent years attending town and county meetings, asking questions, and trying to understand how decisions affect taxpayers in La Grange, Falling Creek, and Lenoir County. I am running to be a steady, informed voice who shows up, pays attention, and represents this district with common sense.
- I believe fiscal responsibility matters, especially for working families and small businesses. Over the past year, taxpayers experienced higher property values and, in some cases, higher taxes at the same time. That process felt disingenuous to many residents. Growth can be a good problem to have, but it has to be managed strategically. As a commissioner, I would focus on transparency, careful budgeting, and making sure taxpayers clearly understand how and why decisions are made.
- Public safety and community services are not abstract issues to me. Volunteer fire departments, first responders, and local infrastructure are essential to quality of life in our county. I believe elected officials should respect the people who serve and the taxpayers who fund these services. I do not claim to have all the answers, but I am committed to listening, learning, and making thoughtful decisions rather than rushing or posturing.
