Bac Cao Nguyen was a candidate for Place 2 representative on the Coppell Independent School District board of trustees in Texas. The general election was held on May 7, 2016. Nguyen was defeated in the general election by candidate Jill Popelka.[1]

Three of the seven seats on the Coppell Independent School District school board were up for by-district general election on May 7, 2016. Place 1 incumbent Susie Kemp did not file for re-election. Newcomers Mary Duran and Leigh Walker faced each other in the race. Bac Cao Nguyen, Jonathan Kirby, and Jill Popelka filed to replace incumbent David Apple for the Place 2 seat. For Place 3, incumbent Anthony Hill faced challengers Pankaj Jain, and Ronald Hansen. There was no primary.[2]

Walker defeated Duran in the Place 1 race while Popelka took the seat in Place 2. Hill won his re-election bid defeating Jain and Hansen.[3]

Nguyen reported no contributions or expenditures to the Dallas County campaign finance reporting office as of April 19, 2016.[4]
