The Balch Springs, Property Tax Reduction referendum did not appear on the November 3 ballot in Dallas County.
There was a proposed vote on reducing the property taxes paid by Balch Springs citizens, but city councilmen wanted to scrap the election rethinking the loss of money this reduction would incur. Citizens approved a local tax to fix street repairs in June so the city had less money to use.[1]
