This page is updated on the first business day of each month of 2020 through August and lists the number of proposed initiatives as of the first day of the month.

This page does count:

  • Initiatives that have already qualified for a 2020 ballot.

Footnotes

  1. This is true even if sponsors missed their 2020 deadline, as long as they did have a chance of qualifying for the 2020 ballot.
  2. As evidenced by the fact that the multiple versions were filed by the same sponsor or group of sponsors and include very similar but not entirely identical language.
  3. See 2020 ballot measures and Potential 2020 ballot measures for information about legislative referrals that have qualified or might qualify for the 2020 ballot.
  4. This counts ballot initiatives filed with the title board, not those filed with the legislative council staff
  5. This does not count measures that submitted a draft for legislative research council comments but did not submit a final version for approval by the Secretary of State
