JUNEAU: Alaska: Alaska has one U.S. House seat on the ballot in 2012. Incumbent Don Young (R) is running for re-election and faces multiple challengers.
Young, who has represented Alaska's lone congressional district for the past 39 years, won the Republican primary with 79% of the vote and is expected to easily defeat Democratic challenger Sharon Cissna in the general election.
Polls are open in Alaska from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Alaska Time.[1]
Alaska is divided between the Alaska time zone and the Hawaii-Aleutian time zone.
