This week's question was, How many fundraising leaders won their state legislative primaries in Indiana?
You answered: 6.
You are correct!
Ballotpedia identified the five Senate and five House state legislative primaries that had the most fundraising heading into the May 3 primary elections. Of those 10 primaries, the fundraising leader won in six.
These primaries also featured four of the six where incumbents lost. In Senate District 47 and House District 22, an incumbent defeat was guaranteed since two incumbents faced each other in the primary due to redistricting. In House District 93—which saw the most funds raised overall—challenger Julie McGuire (R) outraised and defeated incumbent Rep. John Jacob (R). In House District 50, challenger Lorissa Sweet (R) defeated incumbent Rep. Daniel Leonard (R). Leonard outraised Sweet nine-to-one in the primary.
