#FridayFact Answer
Former president Barack Obama has endorsed candidates in elections both foreign and domestic this year, weighing in on races at all levels of government.
This week's #FridayFact asked: Which of the following individuals has NOT received an endorsement from Obama in 2017?
- Virginia gubernatorial candidate Ralph Northam
- U.S. Rep. Jimmy Gomez
- Chicago Alderman Sophia King
- French President Emmanuel Macron
The correct answer was U.S. Rep. Jimmy Gomez. Gomez won special election to the U.S. House of Representatives on June 6, 2017, but Obama was not among his endorsers.
Northam, King, and Macron were all endorsed by Obama in their election bids this year.
