  • Michael Bennet introduced the bipartisan STOP Surprise Medical Bills Act Thursday. The bill would require patients to pay in-network costs for emergency services whether or not they are treated at an in-network facility or provider, among other balance billing changes.

  • Joe Biden will officially kick off his campaign in Philadelphia Saturday. He also released a Spanish-language ad that features clips of Fox News anchors and immigration detention centers.

  • Campaign spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said that Cory Booker would only appoint Supreme Court justices who would uphold Roe v. Wade and sign legislation making it federal law if it were overturned.

  • Pete Buttigieg released his first list of policy priorities, including creating "Medicare for All Who Want It” as a precursor to Medicare for All, implementing a Green New Deal, and establishing independent redistricting commissions to end gerrymandering.

  • The Trump campaign also plans to target five states Hillary Clinton won in 2016:  Minnesota, New Hampshire, Colorado, Nevada, and New Mexico.

  • Bill Weld predicted he would win the Republican primary in California, giving him a potential boost in other races and the convention. He discussed his campaign in an interview on NECN's DC Dialogue that will air Sunday.
