Ballotpedia's Tuesday Count shows no signs of a slowdown (updated)

Ballotpedia's Tuesday Count is on a roll and for the fifth consecutive week, is showing no signs of a slowdown. Voters can look forward to at least 116 ballot measures on 34 statewide ballots in 2010.
In California, the Secretary of State's office certified a proposed initiated constitutional amendment known as the California Congressional Redistricting Initiative. The proposed initiative, scheduled to appear on the November 2, 2010 general election ballot, calls for allowing Congressional district lines to be re-drawn by a committee.
A minimum of 694,354 valid signatures were required to qualify the initiative. According to reports, supporters submitted an estimated 1,180,623 signatures. On May 5 election officials confirmed that supporters had met or exceeded the requirement. The petition drive management company hired to collect the signatures was National Petition Management. NPM was paid $1,937,380 (through May 6) for their signature-gathering services.[1]
A total of six California initiatives have submitted petition signatures and currently remain pending verification. Three filed signatures in the last week: California Jobs Initiative, the Suspension of AB 32; California Passing the Budget On Time Act; and California "Stop Hidden Taxes" Initiative.
Petition drive deadlines are nearing an end and only one petition drive deadline remains for the month of May. The state of Michigan has two signature deadlines for the 2010 ballot: May 26, 2010 for initiated state statutes and July 5, 2010 for initiated constitutional amendments. Currently approximately 5 ballot initiatives have been proposed for the ballot; two are initiated state statutes.
Today, however, Nebraska voters will decide if nonprofit agencies can use tax-free bonds for certain construction projects and equipment needs. The measure was referred to the ballot by the Nebraska Legislature. By the opinion of the Nebraska Attorney General, and by the actions of the Nebraska Secretary of State John A. Gale, the measure was later removed from the ballot. However, on March 12, 2010, the measure was again placed on the ballot, this time under a revised proposal, filed as LR 295 CA.

Nebraska, however, isn't the only state with elections today, at least three other states have local elections.
Updated May 12, 2010: On Tuesday, May 11, the Missouri House of Representatives gave final approval for the Missouri Healthcare Freedom Amendment to appear on the August 3, 2010 statewide ballot. The Tuesday vote makes Missouri the first state to hold an election this year on the hotly debated issue. Arizona and Florida have also referred federal health care related measures to the ballot but their elections will take place in November.
The updated Tuesday count is 117 ballot measures on 34 statewide ballots.
