Biography
Barb Nash was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. She earned an undergraduate degree from Ohio University in August 1982 and a graduate degree from The Ohio State University in June 1987. Nash began working as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Nursing at the University of South Carolina Beaufort in 2019. She previously worked as an APRN Primary Care Provider from 2011 to 2017, as a visiting professor for the Department of Nursing at Otterbein University from 2010 to 2016, as a partner and corporate officer at PRN Continuing Education, Inc. from 1991 to 2010, and as a partner and corporate officer at Life Wise, Inc. from 1982 to 2010. Nash is affiliated with the American Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International - Theta Theta Chapter.[1]

Having served two terms as President of the 10,000-member Ohio Nurses Association, she worked closely with the legislature to initiate and impact legislation related to healthcare and nursing. She also advocated and educated through teaching and her prolific award-winning writing, having published more than 50 professional articles. Barb is a caregiver in every respect and is now turning her talent and passion to care for the Low Country.
"I am running for the South Carolina House in District 124 because I care about the low country," Barb says. "South Carolina has long ranked among the bottom states when it comes to education and healthcare. I care about quality public education for our children and access to healthcare at lower costs. I care about the health of our water, air, and our soil.- I will fight for women's reproductive rights.
- I will work to fully fund public education and stop the diversion of funds from public schools to private education.
