Biography
Barbara Anne Washington lives in Kansas City, Missouri. Washington earned a degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia School of Journalism, an M.B.A. from Avila University, and a J.D. from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Her career experience includes working as an attorney.[1]

A special election for the position of Missouri House of Representatives District 23 was called for November 7, 2017. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was September 19, 2017.[2]
The seat became vacant on May 31, 2017, after Randy Dunn (D) resigned to accept a job in Omaha, Nebraska.[3]
