Biography
Barbara Canales graduated from W.B. Ray High School. Canales earned a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from the University of Houston. Her career experience includes working as an attorney and in a number of nonprofit organizations in the Corpus Christi area. Canales was appointed to be a port commissioner in 2013.[1][2]
