Barbara Clark (New York)
Barbara M. Clark (b. June 12, 1939 - d. February 22, 2016) was a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 33 from 1986 to February 22, 2016. She passed away from an apparent illness.[1]
Clark served as Assistant Majority Whip and Democratic District Leader. Her other political experience included being an executive member of the Douglas/King Democratic Club. In 1998, Clark was a candidate for US House, NY District 6 in a special election; she lost. She was running as a 21st Century Party.
Biography
Clark's professional experience included serving as youth coordinator for New York City Youth Services, working as school security supervisor for New York City Board of Education and working as an administrative assistant for the New York City Transit Police Department.

Clark ran in the 2012 election for New York State Assembly District 33. She defeated Clyde Vanel in the Democratic primary on September 13, 2012. She also ran on the Working Families Party ticket. She defeated Clyde Vanel, who ran as a More Jobs Party candidate after his primary defeat, in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[5][6][7]
