Barbara Cook Crawford was a judge for the Marion County Superior Court in Indiana. She was appointed by Governor Mitch Daniels in August 2010.[1][2] She was re-elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that expired on December 31, 2020.[3] Crawford did not seek retention in 2020.[4]

Primary: She was successful in the Democratic primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 11.9 percent of the vote. She competed against Annie Christ-Garcia, Angela Davis, David J. Dreyer, Shatrese M. Flowers, David R. Hennessy, Mark A. Jones, Christina R. Klineman, James B. Osborn, Marcel A. Pratt, Jr., Christopher K. Starkey, Greg Bowes and Karen Celestino-Horseman.
General: She was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014. There were 16 total seats up for election on this court. Crawford earned her J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law.[2]

Career

At the time of her appointment to the bench, Crawford worked in the Marion County Prosecutor's office. She has also previously served in the Office of the Indiana Attorney General and Marion County Public Defender’s Office.[2]
