Recall reports

A recall effort in Odessa, Texas, against City Councilwoman Barbara Graff was initiated in October 2017. Recall organizer Chris Wray began collecting signatures for the recall on October 20, 2017. The effort ended in November 2017 due to a lack of sufficient signatures.[1] Graff did not provide comment on the recall effort.[2]

Recall supporters

A recall affidavit filed by recall supporter David Rodriquez Jr. cited the city council's September 2017 decision to fire City Manager Richard Morton, the council's May 2017 vote against incentives for a proposed oilfield operation, and allegations of closed council meetings.[2] Wray told local media that recall supporters wanted to target Councilmen Malcolm Hamilton and Filiberto Gonzales in the future to break apart the three-member governing majority on the five-member council.
