Peck (formerly Barbara Young) ran for re-election to the Oklahoma City Council to represent Ward 3. She lost in the general election on February 11, 2025.

Two seats on the Mustang Public Schools school board were up for general election on February 14, 2017. There was a special election for the Office 4 seat. Incumbent Chad Schroeder defeated Barbara Young for a two-year term. No one filed to run for the Office 2 seat, so the board appointed someone to the vacant seat after the election.[1]
